Our Supply Chain team is looking for a technical buyer who is genuinely excited about our mission and about optimizing processes and procedures to improve efficiency with direct procurement. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and passionate team of designers and engineers to support the development of new products, including electronic boards, shields, kits, and to improve the existing well-known ones.

Role purpose:

Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.

Key Responsibilities and Task:

  • Communicate with the Hardware development team in the prototype phase to choose the best components, optimize BOM cost, support the product development phase.
  • BOM review before mass production and ERP BOM maintenance.
  • Bom optimization reviews and analyzes components and looks for alternative solutions.
  • Negotiates prices, terms, and quality requirements.
  • Resolves complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices.
  • Evaluates market conditions.
  • Performs value analysis to identify cost improvements.
  • Checks the capacity of suppliers and availability of materials.
  • Manages and updates master data.
  • Participation in Supplier Audits.
  • Set up a cost reduction plan.
  • Supplier analyses and lead time analyses realization.

Skills and experience required:

  • Technical skills required (electronics knowledge).
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred Engineering or Technical background.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience at a minimum in the electronics purchase market. Working in manufacturing and/or projects environment is preferred.
  • Analytics attitude.
  • Demonstrated values of collaboration, integrity, courage, and excellence are required.
  • Effective communication in English (verbal and writing).
