Overview

Arduino’s Design Team is looking for a Mid-Level UI Designer to work full-time with us and help ideate and build digital products end-to-end. We are looking for someone who is an expert in visual design for digital and enjoys creating user interfaces. You'll join a skilled cross-functional team made of product managers, designers, developers and engineers, and report directly to the Design Team Lead. You'll be hired via the Turin (Italy) headquarters and need to be eligible to work in Italy and resident in the country.

Technical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Design, Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design or related education
  • 3-5 years of experience on cross team projects as a UI Designer
  • Creation of pixel perfect UI and visual designs for complex products
  • Experience collaborating with UX designers to propose the future experience of our products and staying on top of new ideas and best practice in UI design to keep improving the team’s work
  • Knowledge in benchmarking, wire-framing and creating mockups & prototypes
  • Creation and management of Design Systems, pattern libraries and style guides
  • Proficiency in responsive design, visual hierarchy, and iconography
  • Proficiency in ensuring designs meet accessibility standards
  • Experience collaborating with engineers to ensure an efficient and high quality build
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe CC Suite
  • Familiarity with SCRUM, Agile or Design Sprint methodologies
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Trello)

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in Interaction Design, Arduino and programming
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Knowledge in data visualisation and motion design
