We are now looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join the Arduino Cloud and Software team to help us ensure we are able to consistently deploy high-quality applications. You will be responsible for all software to meet both internal and external specifications, as well as satisfy user needs before product delivery. What you'll work on
- Lead the QA strategy and processes for the Arduino Cloud and Software team.
- Guide a small team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Define and monitor key quality metrics to ensure the highest standards for all software products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Oversee comprehensive test plans and drive the adoption of test automation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all software quality related issues collaborating closely with product, support, and other external teams.
- Establish and maintain a robust bug tracking process to ensure all issues are well-documented and prioritized, smoothing the way for technical investigation.
What you bring
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience leading a QA team and developing a comprehensive QA strategy.
- Deep expertise in QA methodologies and a variety of testing types.
- Professional experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Bonus Points
- Experience with backend API testing.
- Experience with performance and load testing.
- Knowledge of software security guidelines or experience in security testing.
- Familiarity with Arduino and Embedded Programming.
- Experience in the IoT field.
